Celtic Sheepskin, a Newquay based, family run business founded by Nick and Kath Whitworth, started life as The Original UGG Co in the mid 1970’s.  Since then, the company has steadily grown into one of the largest suppliers of sheepskin footwear, ethical clothing and soft furnishings in the UK. Today, Celtic Sheepskin produce 50,000 (and rising) pairs of boots and slippers a year.

The brand is officially recognised as an eco-friendly company.  The factory’s energy requirements are low, waste is kept to a minimum and packaging is fully recycled.  Materials are, wherever possible, sourced from suppliers in the UK or Europe, in order to boost the local economy and reduce the brand’s carbon footprint. Goods can be ordered from Celtic Sheepskin using a carbon-neutral delivery system.  In 2008, Celtic Sheepskin was awarded an On Line Green Award (OLGA) for their commitment to socially responsible online trading.
