- Illamasqua. This is a wonderful cosmetics brand – featuring the dazzling colour range of MAC, the covetable palettes and packaging of NARS and the quality of Bobbi Brown or Chanel. It is especially good for women of colour as they provide colours in lips, eyes, base and face for women of all skin tones. They have a couple of in-store counters in Leeds, London and Glasgow as well as a stand alone store in London where they do lots of demonstrations and classes. A must discover! - Edward Bess. I had in fact, not heard of him either till I went looking for cult brands. He appears on a website called Zuneta (which I hadn’t heard of either but contains loads of lovely brands) This is the Back to Basics Travel Palette £55 from Zuneta. Apparently Oprah is a huge fan!
- Wild About Beauty. Our own, homegrown Louise Redknapp has combined forces with her makeup artist to create this range of cosmetics which cover the more natural, neutral and chic end of the spectrum (unlike most “Celeb” ranges this is professional and stylish) This palette is called Divine Nights at £29 can be bought from Debenhams, House of Fraser and online at wildaboutbeauty.com
- Anastasia Beverly Hills. With a name like that you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a little LA trashy but this is a really nice brand. Anastasia Soare is known as the the definitive eye and brow expert. For examples of her work see Charlize Theron, J-Lo, Madonna, Megan Fox, Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Oprah & Penelope Cruz, who have been given the anastasia eyebrows treatment. - Hourglass. Hourglass Cosmetics is a luxury makeup brand with high-performance products known for their clinical levels of anti-aging ingredients, rich pigments, unique packaging and sophisticated shades. Created by beauty expert Carisa Janes, Hourglass products are formulated without parabens, fragrances and are cruelty free. This is the beautiful Neo-Classic palette can be bought from Zuneta.
