August – Florence by Tocca

My fragrance review for August is the juicy and sparkling Florence EDP by Tocca.  A superbly crisp pear introduction followed through into delicate florals makes this a sublime perfume for summer or even into Autumn.

It’s depth and projection makes it ideal for balmy summer nights – the fresh juiciness of the pear cuts through the humidity and the floral heart notes are left as your evening progresses – a little dancing, a walk on the beach or relaxing in a cabana – this fragrance can handle anything.

As summer gives way to rainy autumn days – you are reminded of the warmth of summer as the fragrance lingers on the skin with the tender base notes of musk.

Gets 3.75/5 stars from me – I love it, the depth and projection of the florals – the opening burst of the pears, it is delicious and much more complex that another major brand with a big fruity opening (apples!)  I just wish it lasted all day – but that is fairly rare in modern perfumes so I would be happy to have this in my regular rotation of fragrances.
