Nazila – Queen of the nail bars

By  |  0 Comments

We’ve all seen random pop up nail bars in various shopping centres across the UK but Nazila really sets the tone for quality, style and customer service.  Not only does the Nazila brand supply much of the gel polish salon industry with their extensive colour range of gel varnishes but they’ve also created a range currently placed in River Island.   There you can find Seven new Nail Glitz designs (Clandestine, Barbie, Naughty but Nice, Silver Carat, Gold Carat, Gothic and Pretty in Pink) ( at select River Island stores and online)

I popped along to see the nail bar in Westfield London  on my last visit to London.  I chatted with Nazila herself, a very approached and very groomed young lady with great ambitions for the brand.  She employs only the best and most experienced nail technicians as she is aware that they have to get it right for every customer, first time.

Other than the classic gel polish which we will discuss shortly, Nazila’s offers gorgeous 3D nail art – priced per finger (or perhaps you want really blingy nails all over, most people opt for just one finger on each hand!) and there’s takeaway nail art, nail wraps and press on nails) to complete your gorgeous new nails!

Okay so what did I have done?  I opted for a subtle but summer peachy shade (in fact the colour Nazila herself was wearing and even though we had different skin tones, the peach was such a nice quality it looked fab on both of us)

With the gel polish, you have to sit patiently while coats of base, polish and top coat are applied and cured under UV light, it takes about half an hour (without any nail art) but the most amazing thing is – once it has been cured for the last time, it’s completely shock proof and bone dry!  This means you can go rummaging around New Look, nip in and out of changing rooms, put socks and shoes on (for a pedicure) and your varnish will still be immaculate!

I chose tiny, reflective rhinestones in a subtle diagonal row as my “accent” nail but as you can see from the board above, there’s loads to choose from. After about a week, the two most vulnerable gems closest to the tip on each hand came neatly off (at the same time for some reason!) but the rest are still hanging in there!  If you are clumsy, clutzy or ham fisted like me –  a gel manicure is quite possibly the best thing you can have on your nails – it allows them to grow to a decent length underneath, you aren’t chipping your polish and having to take off and reapplying every 3 days or so and you look permanently well groomed and I’m all up for looking fabulous upon waking up!
