Origins has announced the launch of the Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin complexion corrector. The first process happens when encapsulated key ingredients are activated following exposure to UV, ozone and pollution. Green and white tea releases age-fighting anti-oxidants when skin is exposed to UV rays, vitamin C and vitamin E protect skin against pollution, ozone and environmental stressors, and thermus thermophilus algae converts oxidative stress from pollution into light hydration.

The second process perfects skin’s surface texture with time-released smoothing ingredients, encapsulated salicylic acid and chestnut extract, which gradually release to smooth skin’s surface texture, helping to create a flawless complexion.  The third process colour corrects via mechanically released encapsulates triggered by physical pressure. Plant-coated mineral pigments instantly correct blotchy and uneven skin tones. Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin complexion corrector will be available from August in light/medium and medium/deep shades, priced £28. It will be available nationwide at select department stores and via the brand’s website.

I’m not sure myself – any BB creams I’ve tried have looked like concrete – really toneless (eg no warm or cool shades) and unblendable. I’ve been looking at the NARS sheer glow or Jouer Tinted Moisturisers as they have the glowy element..
