If you are going to go for a high end, luxury product for your skin – you might as well get something really luxurious!

Gold

Luxury 24k Gold  collagen masks from http://www.jamelaskincare.co.uk

The mineral gold included in the ingredients these masks are soaked in helps remove toxins from the skin and tightens as it goes!  Also credited with brightening the complexion.  What is also really cool is you can add it to your bathwater once you’ve used it as the mask dissolves around 70 degrees.  The dissolved collagen will also be beneficial for other parts of your body-so go ahead and chuck it in!

Jamela have developed an exclusive formula for extracting the same rejuvenating properties that gold has to offer and infused them along with organic nutrients and anti-oxidants, into a collagen based all natural anti-ageing, rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle gold mask.  Gold Collagen Mask provides 95% high performance moisturiser, and is absorbed at 10 times the rate of a traditional face mask.

A five pack is £37.50

Unbelievably pure ingredients list – 24k Gold Mineral; Plant Collagen; Moisture Factors: Antibacterial Factors; Vitamin E; Hyaluronic Acid; Rose Essence: Distilled Water.

Diamonds

Ainhoa’s Luxury Diamond Powder Peeling Mask not only contains micro-fine diamond powder but also mint essential oil which makes for a really lovely smell on application.   This is a gentle mask which is designed to eliminate impurities and cellular rejuvenation.  The mask is really more of an exfoliator – the instructions describe the process as massaging in till the beads disappear.  Despite diamonds being the most abrasive property on earth – the mask is pretty gentle – I would say it was closest to microdermabrasion in application, feel and after effects.  Not to mention its Minty freshnessness!

RRP – £89.50 – soon to be available in the UK – find out more on Ainhoa’s website

Ahinoa’s range also contains Oxygen, Gold and…..

Caviar

The other luxury item in Ahinoa’s range – caviar are fish eggs for those who aren’t in the know.  This most highly prized delicacy can also be used as nutrition for the skin.  Caviar is rich in amino acids which are absorbed directly into the skin to help rejuvenate it.  It also helps produce top quality collagen and slows down the aging process as well as being rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

The Luxe Cellular Complex Facial Serum with Caviar Extract is designed to do all of the above.  Being a serum – its smaller molecules are absorbed quicker and deeper into the skin – thus stimulating the rejuvenation of the skin and the collage production.

There are 10 other skincare products in the Luxe range – including day/night creams, toner and eye masks.   If you can only manage one thing out of the range – make it the serum.

Snail Secretion – Petit Gris

Although not technically a luxury item – the way it’s collected makes it a pure and rare ingredient.   It’s formulated from Plant, Vegetal and Virgin Oils and contains Snail Secretion Filtrate which delivers high levels of allantoin, glycolic acid, collagen and elastin to where it is needed, helping to regenerate and retexture your skin.  Please note though – snail secretion is NOT the grotty slime they leave behind – it’s a light, foamy consistency and is often left on the plants they eat (no snails are hurt in the process – it’s their by product).  It was discovered as a skincare ingredient when Chilean snail farmers who were out in the sun all day developed leathery, sun damaged faces but line free, immaculate hands and it was the snail secretion their hands regularly came into contact with doing the trick!

It has a heavy application – feels very thick and nourishing – although I was convinced I wasn’t going to like it as it sat on my skin with an oily consistency.  No need to worry though – within a minute, the rich, luxurious cream had absorbed, leaving the skin on top buttery soft.  For dry, dehydrated or mature skin – this cream would be outstanding.  If your skin is normal or combination – use sparingly on drier patches.  I’d avoid if you have oily skin and go for their lighter weight gel.

Cellular Repairing Cream (Night) – £59 from Urban Retreet

Regenerating Anti-Age Cream – £49 from Urban Retreat
