Champagne Monsigny Brut No III, 12% abv
Equal parts of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier grapes translate to a ‘lemony’ palate, with a nose reminiscent of sweet sherbet. The length and subtlety is from aging in barrels for over four years. £9.99

From Laithwaite’s
Comtesse de Bellefleur Champagne Grand Reserve Brut, 12.5% abv
Fine mousse, orchard and brioche notes from 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay grapes. Complexity comes from prolonged cellar ageing, so expect a long finish. Drink on its own, with light meats or exquisite seafood dishes. £9.99

The Exquisite Collection Limoux A.C. 2012, 12.5% abv
Expect the apple and melon bouquet typical of the Chardonnay grape. The palate is buttery, smooth and yet punchy. Good with fish. £6.99.
