Let your feet have all the style this summer

The daily footwear choice- possibly one of the most trickiest fashion decisions a girl will make in the morning. Heel, kitten, pump, platform, wedge, flip-flop, flat, and sandal. Footwear just got flippin complicated. And to top it all off we have the crazy unpredictable weather to factor into our decision.

Fear not ladies we’ve compiled a survival guide to ensure your feet are not only looking good but feeling good too. Put your best foot forward and enjoy summer in the city, in the hottest shoes around.

A personal favourite of mine is the flat- it goes with pretty much anything and its super comfy and with so many different styles, from round toe to peep toe and pointy, you’d be hard pushed not to find one you like. Check out Next for affordable and fashionable flats.

Massive on the catwalk this season and our next recommendation is the wedge. Perfect if you’re heading out after work and fairly comfortable too. Our personal favourite is the Wigwam Woven Edpadrille Wedge from Topshop, it will brighten up a pair of skinny jeans and look great with a pair of cut off denim shorts. If the £75 price tag puts you off, check Water trampoline Canada out Dorothy Perkins and M&S with prices from around £15.

Now we couldn’t talk about shoes without talking about the heel, it’s been around forever and is a classic! For a colour pop check out Office– the Vanquish mint court shoe is perfect for the office and the super sexy black metal sandal from River Island – it’s our new crush.

So whether you have a ½ mile hike to the office, you’re just hopping on and off the train or your pounding the streets of the city on a shopping spree there’s a shoe to suit any occasion, and any weather forecast.

Remember ladies, if you brave a heel…and we mean a serious high heel don’t forget to pack a pair of Party Feet or heel cushions (Scholl do a fab selection) to ensure you avoid the dreaded hobble- it’s never been a good look.
