5 amazing cleansers

These aren’t necessarily the 5 best in the world ever, but they are all fantastic in their own way and for various skin types/stages – eg summer/dehydrated/outbreak/lots of makeup/sensitive.

Eve Lom cleansing balm for years I’ve held this up to be the ultimate soothing yet makeup busting cleanser.  I reserve this one for days or nights out when I’ve got lots of layers of makeup on as the combination of the melting balm and the hot cloth really cleans down deep into your pores and leaves skin super soft and hydrated.  Comes in sizes from 50ml-200ml from Space NK

La Roche Posay Micellaire water

La Roche Posay Micellaire water.  There are many versions of micellaire water, this is La Roche Posay’s gentle, water based cleanser with hidden oil within the water molecules.  Perfect for sensitive skins, light makeup days, morning skin washing.  Practical, versatile and effective.  Available from Boots

Murad Essential-C Cleanser.  For those of you who like “soap and water” style cleansing or prefer to do it when showering, this Murad cleanser is excellent, the vitamin C repairs some of the free radical damage (especially sun) and the light foaming action sweeps away any impurities.  Buy online from Murad

Lime Blossom Cleanser

Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser.  Another great love, this gentle daily cleanser, although for combination skin is as light as a feather and leaves skin as smooth as a baby’s bot.  Ideal if you don’t like using water with your cleanser or need something a little more soothing!  Can be left on for “extra time” as used as a mask.  RRP £21 try Debenhams!

Bravura Azulen Cleansing Milk.  A super light cleansing milk from Bravura…the brand that specialises in AHA/BHA skincare products for use at home.  This cleansing milk is so gentle yet effective and has an impressive range of ingredients including aloe vera gel, soap wort and marshmallow extracts, camellia oil, avocado oil and wheat germ oil.    It’s much lighter than the Elemis one and super for sensitive skin.
