A little chat with – Amy Childs

Firstly, Hi Amy, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions.  You are a girl heavily in the media glare and we’d like to learn some beauty secrets and tips as well as finding out more about what makes you tick.  We particularly love your range of very flattering dresses for girls with curves and the new Mikey Jewellery collaboration.  We also liked your perfume although it may never take the place of our beloved Chanel & Dior.

CAN Management Ltd

SW – First things first  glamour.  When we see you in the press you are always dressed up to the nines with a full face of make~up.   Are you ever “off duty” in joggers and touch of lipgloss or do you maintain a high maintenance look at all times in case of the “paps”?

AC – I always like to make sure I look good and take care of myself and always have done but I do love to chill out in my new onsies! They are available to the public on my website www.amychildsofficial.co.uk

SW – What products do you favour to give you a barefaced look?

AC – A bit of bronzer and vaseline on my lips. My Flirt styles of Amy Childs’ Lashes are perfect for a more natural look too.

SW – Your skin seems very flawless ~ any beauty secrets you would like to share? (salon treatments, products etc)

AC – I always take my makeup off every night and have regular facials. I love the Crystal Clear facials and also the anti-ageing A-Lift facial by Nouveau Beauty Group which is amazing for preventing wrinkles!

I have lots of beauty tips – such as I always use a primer under my foundation to help it last longer and go on more smoothly, I always take my makeup off at night and cleanse, tone and moisturize – it’s also good to use a good eye cream too to help prevent wrinkles. I really look after my hands and use a solar oil on my cuticles and hand cream at night.

I love to have my toes and nails painted and matching. I use Moroccan Oil on my hair as a nice treat to keep it soft and smooth. It is great to use on extensions if you have them as well. I love big hair so I use my Sleep-In Rollers or pop in one of my new hair pieces by Annabelle’s Wigs.

If you always use eyebrow pencil consider permanent makeup – I have my eyebrows permanently tattooed by beauty genius Karen Betts and I’d recommend it to anyone – they look amazing and it saves a lot of time! Also all girls should try and experiment with strip lashes, they can really open up your eyes – I have eight different styles in my Amy Childs’ Lashes collection and each one gives you a really different look – from glam to natural and they are so easy to put on – mine last up to 10 uses too so really good value for money.

A great beauty tip is – drink plenty of water!

SW – Your new range of eyelashes look very glamorous.  I’m hopeless attaching those things and always worried they will droop or fall off mid conversation in a bar!  Have you any insider advice on fixing them in place and making sure they stay?

AC – My insider secret is to put the glue on the lash and then let the glue dry for a couple of seconds as it makes it much easier to attach them without them pinging off! Also I’d also say trim the lashes to fit your eye – don’t be afraid to cut them to fit your own eyes.

SW – What is it that drives you to expand your business portfolio and keep creating new lines to the range?

AC – I just love beauty and am always looking for new products to expand – I have been a trained beautician for years now so I’m so passionate and really interested and know a lot about the products I bring out which I think is so important.

SW – How do you feel about the negative perception of you by other women?  Do you think it’s jealousy?  How do you deal with it?

AC – I don’t think they would be jealous of me. I am just a normal nice girl and I am the same as I was before I was in TOWIE. I haven’t got a bad word to say about anyone and wouldn’t change for anyone but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

SW – Which women in business or entertainment are you inspired by?

AC – Victoria Beckham – she is such an amazing designer and business woman!

SW – Where next for Brand Amy?  World domination?

AC – Who knows – watch this space – it’s all so exciting!

Thanks to Amy for taking time out of her busy schedule to talk to us at Simply Woman.
