Glam Up Your Nails With Two Exciting Brands

OPI nailpolish has been selling since 1993 and is available in 103 countries worldwide. They’ve just launched a series of James Bond inspired nailpolishes to correspond with the release of the latest James Bond movie Skyfall. The 12 shades fall into two categories –  ‘Seductive’ shades – the reds, plums and golds, while the ‘Dangerous’ shades are oh-oh so glittery or dark!

We tried ‘The World Is Not Enough’ which is rosy silver, quite unlike anything we’ve seen before. This shade is subtle enough for daytime wear, and adding extra coats ensures a more vivid nighttime effect. ‘Casino Royal’ is a berry purple with blue overtones which hint at something ‘darker’.

For the 007-obsessed among you, checkout limited edition The Man With The Golden Gun which is a real 18 carat gold topcoat.

See the full Skyfall range at www.lenawhite.co.uk where you can also order online. Bottles are £11.00 for a 15ml bottle. The Man With The Golden Gun RRP is £29.98

Testing the polish

With a top coat, two coats and a top coats, our tester is wearing the colour one week later with minimal chipping! The wide flat brush applies colour professionally, using quick vertical strokes.

Our second brand is from Collection, formerly known as Collection 2000. The message for every woman wearing their cosmetics is to say ‘This is me and I love it!’ Collection’s Bedazzled Nail Effects is truly bedazzling, with glitter suspended in a glossy base. The large glitter flakes reflects strobes or nightlight perfectly. This is definitely a line to watch out for in future. BNE comes in four dazzling shades – we have Glittersweet here. Buy for £2.99 at major stockists or go to http://www.collectioncosmetics.co.uk then click on ‘nails’ to see the full range of nail treatments.

Testing the polish

We found Bedazzled works best as a single topcoat to glam up plain polish. You can however wear it alone – just apply two or three coats for a bewitching look. Unlike some other brands we tried, Bedazzled’s glitter isn’t a nightmare to remove.
