Moccis moccasins are the perfect thing for toasty warm feet

Warm and cosy, in a range of fab and interesting designs – the humble moccasin has been given a reboot by Moccis.

Kind of a cross between an extra warm sock and a leather slipper, moccasins have been used for hundreds of years, particularly in the Artic Circle countries.  Moccis are Swedish thankfully – which means they know style/trend as well as comfort and warmth.

There are baby, junior and adult moccasins and even Rita Ora has been pictured wearing hers in the studio.  For kids they are perfect for running around and playing in as they are non slip and firm enough leather soles to keep any wayward sharp bits away from little feet.

For adults you can choose from a range of groovy designs such as the penguin (pictured!) the panda, flowers, stripes and more manly designs for the modern man.

They retail at £59.97 from Moccis website

We had a good trial of these in the far north of Scotland, living in a lighthouse and they are indeed handy for padding through the mess of a coal fire, the cold mornings when it is still on a low ember and even popping outside to the car.  They take a bit of getting used to as they don’t just slip on like ordinary baffies but this makes them safer – they aren’t likely to slip off your feet at the wrong moment.

They also carry a range with micro-fiber soles for the vegetarians who don’t want a leather sole.
