Sunkissed Eye Palette and Bronzer in “Smokey Eyes”

Where would we be in the summer without the gorgeous sunkissed, healthy glow?

Sunkissed as a brand focus on the tanning market with a massive range of lotions, bronzers and instant tans but they also have a great range of complimentary products and this review is on their smokey eye palette.

Packaging wise they’ve kept it simple with no mirror or glossy packaging which helps with the price point of under £6! You can also see the colours through the lid which makes life easy when racking through your pile of palettes! You do get a double ended sponge brush for the shadows and a little brush for the bronzer but it’s a bit to small to use on the cheek area.

There are 8 shadow colours in the palette;

2 creamy base shades (top row pans 1 and 3) – one matt and one more shimmery/pearly coloured. Ideal for creating a highlight in the corner of the eye or under the brow.

2 bronzy shades (top row 4/bottom row 3) – great for a one colour eye. One has a slight injection of plumminess, the other is a classic bronze.

1 brown tone (bottom row 4) which looks like a typical light brown in the pan but translates to a darker brown on the skin

2 blue/greys (top row 2/bottom row 1) lovely shades for putting into the crease or along the lash lines. Bottom row 1 has a silvery tint to it, top row 2 is more blue toned.

1 deep charcoal (bottom 2) perfect for lining upper and lower lashes.

And one bronzing colour;

A lovely matt shade with muddy brown hints which is ideal for those who don’t like shimmery bronzers.

Colour pay off is not bad on a cheap palette, there’s a fair bit of fall out when loading the brush from the pan so I don’t see the palette lasting long once the colours have been broken into – I reckon a fair amount of crumbling in the pan but show me a budget shadow that doesn’t!

This palette is ideal for taking on holiday as it’s not the end of the world if it gets broken or left behind, the colours are lovely for summer nights and there’s enough bronzer to handle a week in the Canaries.

The palette costs £5.99 and is available from Sunkissed’s own website as well as other online retailers.
