Breakthrough Cancer Bake Off

By  |  0 Comments

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in which attention is drawn to the benefits of early diagnosis of this terrible disease (see our article titled, ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’). In tandem with this theme, on the 17th October the official bake off in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place. Central to baking cakes and other goodies is the fundraising for charity and helping to help save women’s lives. Now in its second year it challenges those with flour power to fund Breakthrough’s life saving research. To officially participate and get your Bake Off kit that includes recipes and tips, visit www.breakthrough.org.uk/bakeoff or call the Bake Off team on 08080 100 200.
Otherwise create your own bake off by gathering work colleagues or friends, donning your aprons and hosting your own baking competition and fundraising. Georgia Bridgwood, Head Baker for BBO says, “…last year was a huge success and we’re hoping even more people will take part this year.”

See www.breakthrough.org.uk for comprehensive general information on breast cancer awareness.
