Changing habits of Hotels & B&B’s

Holiday makers are taking a leaf from city dwellers when booking hotels and B&B’s recent survey by Eviivo shows.

Occupancy rates have increases in line with a sharp fall in city centre rates showing that escaping the rat race is as important to those booking hotels as it is to city workers.  Gentrification of previously cheesy beachside towns like Margate or the increase in quality country pub fayre has drawn more and more people out of noisy towns and cities.

Exchanging sirens for dawn chorus seems to be the attraction as city centre occupancy rates show the most marked decrease of nearly 72% and it’s also the move towards a more homely and personal B&B style accommodation that people are showing preference for.
Country B&Bs are the ones to watch for the future as tv shows like Four in a Bed show.
