Makeup brands – NARS

NARS have managed to tap into a very lucrative vein of the cosmetics market – the high end colour rush!  NARS products are incredibly pigmented compared to other makeup brands but it’s their colour range that sets them apart – from everything you need for a smokey eye right through to oranges, yellows, bright purples and greens.  Their colour range in eye/blush and lip is so extensive that women of colour find NARS one of the better makeup brands to suit their skin tone.

NARS makeup was created by professional French makeup artist Francois Nars so he has used all of his expertise and improved on all the areas he was disappointed in with other makeup brands.  Thus NARS was born and continues to this day to create the most covetable products in the industry.

Face

Blusher in Orgasm – £21.50

Another celebrity favourite, this colour creates the perfect flush on the cheeks, wonderful depth of pigment and natural radiance.

The Multiple – £30

I can’t remember when The Multiple first grabbed our attention – it was probably some A-Lister talking about it or a magazine first covered it.  The makeup world went mad for these sticks of shimmery accent colour that can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks and body.  There are now 17 amazing shades in this product – something for a dark winters day through to the last day of your summer holiday when you are looking like a bronzed goddess.  Best selling shades include Copacabana, Laguna and Orgasm

Bronzer in Laguna – £26

Another cult favourite, this bronzer stands out as the perfect example of how a bronzer should be.

Eyes

The Duos – £25

SIXTY-FIVE! shades of amazing colour duos.  Beautiful little compacts with mirror – colour matches come in complimentary shades, contrasting shades, sparkle pigment, matte pigment – there are so many to choose from!

Lips

Satin or Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – £17.50

13 shades of Satin or 18 shades of Velvet Matte, either choice gives you a gorgeous, sleek and pigmented lip crayon to play with -all day and night!  Enriched with Vitamin E can be used as lip liner or full lip colour and although there have been many imitators – this one is still the best.

Palettes

These are my favourite thing to have from this brand – especially if it’s your first NARS purchase as it gives you a little of each product so you can decide if you want the full size or not!  From mine I already want to purchase the full sized Orgasm blush and the Barbarella lipstick.  Keep an eye out because they aren’t widely available but if you can get one with a blush/bronze, eyes and lips it’s really worth buying!  I got mine on ebay but
