Volumising shampoo/conditioner – Big Sexy Hair

I’m on a quest to find a great volumising shampoo/conditioner so will be going through various brands and reviewing  their effectiveness.

Big Sexy Hair starts as it means to go on, with a strong name that indicates what it may do for your hair.  The bottle is striking in colour and they are in a handy tall slim format which means they are easier to store (I find anyway) and won’t fall off from their perch into the bath/shower.  The snib cap is easy to use, doesn’t allow water back into the bottle from your shower and dispenses a suitable amount. It’s just a little harder to get out when the bottle is only a quarter full.

The formula itself is a pretty pink shimmery colour and lathers pretty well – it is quite a thick fluid I find compared to your herbal essence type products.  The conditioner is also nice and thick so feels nourishing on the hair.  Once I towel dry and comb through before blow drying, there are very few tangles.

It doesn’t leave my hair as thick as the other product I tried – the Sebastian Professional but it does make my hair look less limp for about 12-15 hours.  I’d prefer if the fuller feeling lasted longer but if I wanted it really thicker I’d use a styling product when blow drying.  It says it contains natural ingredients such as Wheat Protein, Pro-Vitamin B5, Sage Extract, Nettle Extract, that will provide extra moisture and unbelievable fullness but I wouldn’t say the fullness was “unbelievable”
